PreventativeCare

The proactive approach to canine veterinary care.

At Northern Hope Veterinary Care, we believe that prevention is truly the best medicine! A yearly wellness exam allows us to prevent, diagnose and treat disease in its early stages, often before you notice any symptoms. Treatment is more effective when it starts earlier, so preventative care helps your pet live a long and healthy life with you. We believe in working with and providing you with enough knowledge to put you in control of the  health care decisions for your pet.

Preventive Health Measures

Annual Vet Exams During a comprehensive annual exam at Northern Hope Veterinary Care, your pet will get a full “Nose-to-Tail” check-up.  We perform a thorough evaluation from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tai.

Vaccinations Updated vaccinations and booster shots are the easiest and most effective way to prevent many common diseases and infections like distemper, rabies and parvo. We formulate a vaccination schedule base on a pet’s unique lifestyle.

Dental Care, Parasite Control, Skin and Coat Care, Nutrition, Micro-chipping, Behavior/Training:  Our strategy is to focus on disease prevention and well-being.  We will discuss all aspects of your pet’s health with you and work together to formulate the best strategy to keep your pet happy and healthy for as long as possible.

Senior Care

Preventative care becomes more significant for aging dogs. Northern Hope Veterinary Care recommends twice-yearly exams for elderly dogs. As pets get older, they are prone to many age-related diseases that become increasingly difficult to diagnose and treat. To keep senior pets healthy and happy, we must adjust many preventative health measures to better suit their changing medical needs. Our goal is to keep your senior pet comfortable and healthy and living longer than ever!
